For 23 years, Wood has been the lead federal governmental affairs lobbyist for CIAB.   The organization represents 200 of the nation’s largest commercial insurance brokerage firms.  Council member firms collectively place 90 percent of commercial, property/casualty premiums in the U.S.   Additionally, CIAB firms sell a large and growing percentage of employer-provided group health insurance plans.  Prior to coming to CIAB, Wood worked for six years on Capitol Hill as the legislative director for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
